Organic Chicken Farming Process (12-16 Weeks)
Organic chickens are raised naturally without antibiotics, synthetic growth enhancers, or genetically modified feed. The process takes longer than broilers (typically 12-16 weeks) but results in healthier, more flavorful meat.
Week 1-4: Brooding & Early Growth
- Housing: Spacious, well-ventilated coop with access to outdoor areas
- Temperature: 32-34°C initially, reducing by 2-3°C per week
- Feed: Organic starter feed (20-22% protein)
- Water: Fresh, clean water with natural probiotics
- Light: 24 hours initially, reducing gradually
- Health: Natural remedies (garlic, apple cider vinegar) for immunity

Week 5-8: Natural Growth Phase
- Outdoor Access: Birds should have free-range access for natural foraging
- Feed: Switch to organic grower feed (18-20% protein) + grains, greens, and insects
- Health: Deworm naturally (herbs like neem, turmeric)
- Environment: Ensure shaded areas and dust baths to prevent pests

Week 9-12: Muscle Development & Weight Gain
- Feed: Organic finisher feed (16-18% protein) + free-range diet
- Health: Monitor for natural resistance to diseases
- Water: Keep fresh and add herbal immunity boosters
- Weight Check: Birds should reach 1.8-2.5 kg

Week 13-16: Market Readiness & Processing
- Feed: Continue organic finisher feed
- Weight Target: 2.5-3.5 kg
- Final Checks: Ensure no stress before transport
- Processing: Slaughter following humane, organic certification guidelines
